"HOLLYWOOD SWINGIN'"

CONGRATULATIONS SHAWN "S. DOT" BASKER

I WAS COMBING MY STATUS'S ON FACEBOOK AND CAME ACROSS A FRIEND FROM HIGH SCHOOL THAT IS PROMOTING A NEW SINGLE. SHAWN "S.DOT" BASKER IS AN INDEPENDENT DC BASED RAPPER THAT GUESS APPEARS WITH ANOTHER DC AREA BASED INDEPENDENT RAPPER NAMED HOLLYWOODON A NEW SINGLE CALLED "BACK IN DE DAY".I'M ACTUALLY QUITE SURPRISED AT "HOLLYWOOD'S" RESUME. NOT TO MENTION HIS INDEPENDENT ALBUM. HE'S AN UNDISCOVERED PRODUCER AND CORRESPONDANT AMONG THE FEW SLASHES TO HIS LYRICAL TITLE.

Hollywood was nominated for Artist Most Likely to Succeed at the DMV EMA’s;MostSupportive Media Personality, Best Promoter, and Most Supportive RadioPersonality in 2009.But here's where the respect kicks in.He wrote and produced two club tracks, “Hi Hatas” and “Bottles of Patron” that gained him recognizition with radio media.

"Back N de day"
is just one of the many laid back tracks that this independent artist has to offer. The album in general reflects the sound of nineties Hip Hop.The Biggie and Tupac era of Hip Hop."Shawn S. Dot", flows like second nature as he samples a verse from 1995 track
"I Wish". There's a track called "Stranger",featuring Big Vegas" which is sampled from Tupac's "Pain",from the "Above the Rim" soundtrack. It has a "Ghetto Boys" type melody to the lyrics. No dought this track is likeable. But then again, it's because this is a Tupac sampled track. How can you not love a Tupac track?

Undiscovered talent lurks everywhere.Supporting unknown talent is risky but Hollywood might be worth the gamble.Jay Z ,Damon Dash, Lil Wayne,Kanye West and Ludacris all started off out of the trunk of a car and freelanced thier way into stardom. This is how it all starts but certainly for Hollywood and Shawnwill not be the end.

Check out Hollywood's website and listen for yourself.
